When Josh mentioned the words ‘surprise proposal’ during our first conversation, I immediately began to grin uncontrollably. Loved the idea of sneaking in a proposal during their couple shoot here in Auckland, and by the way they flew all the way from the States. Josh and I decided on a way for me to give a signal when the perfect time to propose was (yes he totally gave me free reign to decide!), and he did it without breaking a sweat. Incredibly happy for the couple and congratulations once again!
Having photographed a number of proposals throughout the years, I never forget my interactions with the couples (and the amount of texts/emails sent between the boys and myself prior to the proposals!). The nerves, the rings, the questions, the smiles, the tears and of course the moments when the lives of two separate individuals changed for the better – just incredible to be able to witness them.
