We began the day at Margret’s place to get some shots of her and the girls getting ready. It was great as the girls were more than happy to accommodate my ideas, such as when I gently asked if I could shift some furniture around so as to make full use of the available light :p
The group then proceeded to the beautiful Auckland Botanic Gardens for the ceremony. I will never forget the energy that the bridal party brought to the wedding! It was a blast photographing them, never a dull moment. When it was time for the couple portraits, both Margret and Tanaki were ready to go.
Nearing the end of the portrait session, we had someone else’s wedding party occupy the location that we were supposed to be shooting at! That turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as while I was searching around for alternatives, I chanced upon a little dirt path lined with greenery. The path was kind of hidden, but nothing escaped our eyes :p
When we got to the reception, it was ON. The venue was just buzzing, with guests breaking out into a dance and everyone seemed to be game to show off some moves on the dance floor. Despite my tired arms at the end of the day, I truly enjoyed the incredible experience covering Tanaki and Margret’s special day and they definitely have my heartfelt gratitude!
