Wouter and Kirsten were married at the Chapel of St. Christopher located in the Devonport Naval Base. It was an interesting experience entering the base for a wedding, and upon arriving at the chapel I was stunned at how beautiful the interior was! As the naval base is where Wouter spends quite a bit of his time, it made this venue that much more significant to them and it was fitting that he wore his uniform for the special day.
We were blessed with a beautiful day for photos and whenever the bridal party is as easy going as theirs, it made the day go by so quickly and before we knew it we were headed towards the wedding reception at the Stamford Plaza Auckland Hotel in the heart of the city. The reception hall was beautifully decked out and guests were not shy showing their moves on the dance floor after the formalities ended.
